If you are getting your tackle box restocked and organized, you should consider including a small assortment of number 2 sized lures for catching nice sized Northern Pike. Red and White Dare Devils, and a few spinners and weedless lures and you are set. The truth is, Northerns will bite on just about anything when they are hungry.

 

But if you want to experience the rare thrill of  landing a huge Northern Pike over 40" long - you have to do something a little different.
