Bringing Your Family Pet on Holidays to Canada
Dogs & cats may enter Canada, but must have a valid rabies vaccination certificate, signed and dated by a veterinarian issued within the preceding 36 months must accompany any pets over three months of age brought into Canada. The certificate must provide a sufficient description and detail in order to identify the pet.
Seeing Eye dogs are exempt from this requirement.
Owners from other countries who wish to bring their pets should contact the nearest Canadian consulate or embassy.
